Bed heater error
-
Forgive me if I've missed something obvious.
Need some help pleaseI'm having the occasional bed fail error. Temp not rising fast enough is the only one i have seen, but I did get an error early in a print when I was stepping from 110 on first layer 100 2nd 90 3rd.
It's a rostock max so bed has a fair bit of thermal inertia.
Running bang bang
What sets timing / behaviour for timeout. Tbh i could disable error on bed, running 18v it peaks at about 140 so wont set anything alight.

The expected heating behaviour is determined by the heater model parameters set using M307. If the default values don't work for you, you can establish more suitable values either by auto tuning or manually. See https://duet3d.com/wiki/Tuning_the_heater_temperature_control.

Thank you. I guess i need to order that ssr. Trying to find one in the uk i know is decent without paying a fortune is taxing though

You only need to use a SSR if the bed heater current is more than 15A, or it is AC mains voltage.

I'm running mixed voltages. 18v on bed (makes it fast enough but self limits at about 130/140) pulls about 18A cold and 12v on the rest. Currently using mech relay so bang bang only until I add ssr. If anyone can suggest a reliable source it would be appreciated.
Thank you to dc for all the work and still managing to find time to answer questions on here

See the wiki page on connecting a bed heater for SSR recommendations.

Thanks Stephen but I'm in the uk. I just had to pay a small fortune for an ssr from a reliable source (rs components) I figured in the long run it was cheaper than potentially buying fakes and having to replace.
