Heater problem
-
All,
I think I have burnt my duet.
Here is a photo
or at that link
https://photos.app.goo.gl/DrQnB4S7q6YiejsH3This happens after the printer heated as normal tonight.
I have checked and the Voltage is always 0V now.I will anyway need to get a new connector terminal.
Does anyone know how to troubleshoot if I had fried the electronics?

Not sure I can help with the problem, but for me at least, I can't see your picture.

can you see the picture now?

Ouch. That can happen if the wires are not in the crimp ferrules and they creep over time. Assuming its just the connector that is fried the part to replace is listed as the 3.5mm spacing screw terminal on the documentation:

Hello
Thanks
I will change the connector.
How can I check that nothing else is burnt?
As said the voltage was showing 0.Antoine

It's unlikely that anything else is burned. Your photo is a classic example of what happens when a wire carrying a significant amount of current isn't securely clamped in a screw terminal - although it's more often seen on the VIN or bed heater terminals.
To avoid it happening again:
- Do not tin the ends of the wires with solder
- Crimp the ferrules we provide securely on the wire ends
- Hold the terminal block while tightening the screw
- Over the first few hours and days of use, check regularly that all the screws in the terminal blocks are still tight.
It looks like you are not using the E1 heater output, so you could just switch to using that one instead.

Same thing happen to my a while ago (Completely my own fault as I swapped the bed out and didn't crimp the ends of the new bed [Point 2 above]).
The good news is that even with my limited soldering skills I was able to replace the connector or and get the board running again. -
Thanks
I have ordered some terminal block which should come soon.
