BD (bed distance) sensor
-
is it possible for duet to use the BD sensor for bed leveling/probing? I was in contact with the creators' FB group to ask what software it currently works with, and so far it's just marlin and Klipper. this new probe looks very promising so I was wondering if there is anything in future firmware updates for duet 2 and 3 to incorporate this feature.
what is the bd sensor?

@tekstyle have a look at this topic https://forum.duet3d.com/topic/32774/scanning-z-probe-support-in-rrf-3-5
current, Duet3D are developing their own product -
Interesting. that is ultra fast bed scanning. will this be a feature for duet2 as well?

@tekstyle that I'm not sure of as I know the duet 2 won't be getting any new big features due to lack of memory

The product we are working initially on connects to the Duet via CAN bus, so it's not compatible with Duet 2. We haven't ruled out having an alternative analog output that could be used with Duet 2.
