48v steppers with Duet 3 6HC v1.01 and Duet 3 3HC v1.02

I'm just wondering if I'm able to connect the Duet 3 6HC to 24v and have 2xDuet 3 3HC running 48v for steppers, I already own the Duet 3 so I think this is the cheapest route to 48v steppers.

@bulbs Hi shouldn’t be an issue as long as your 3HC boards are version 1.02 I believe the older versions are rated to 32v max

@bulbs yes you can do that. The CAN bus always runs with 5V to the CAN transceivers regardless of what VIN voltage the board uses.
However, unless.you need the additional drivers, a 6HC 1.02 board would be simpler to configure. You could perhaps sell your older 6HC board on eBay or on this forum.
