can we use heater pin on Duet Expansion Breakout Board
-
As on expension board we have HEater PWM so can we use these PWM pin for heating up the extruder?
if yes then please suggest how can we do? -
@akds48 Yes, but you cannot use the heater PWM pin directly, as the output is only
3.3V5V and for signalling. It can control a MOSFET (eg like the MOSFET board sold with the E3D Super Volacano https://e3d-online.com/products/supervolcano-80w-heater) or Solid State Relay, which would allow you to connect a higher voltage (eg 12-24V) to your heater. Note that signal is inverted on the heater PWM pins on the Expansion Breakout Board (and DueX); see https://docs.duet3d.com/Duet3D_hardware/Duet_2_family/Duet_Expansion_Breakout_Board#using-the-servo-headers.Ian

The signal level on the PWM output pins on Duet expansion boards is 5V, not 3.3V.
