How to change from SBC to standalone mode.
-
Is there an quick and easy way to move from SBC to standalone mode? If so what would be the process and would the board need to be removed from the printer with all connections disconnected? I'm currently running a Mini 5+ and 1lc.
Cheers in advance.

@r4ffers I just set up a separate SD card and put it in the Duet. Easier to set it up on a computer, and copy all of the config files etc. to it. Remember to also configure the Ethernet.
Then there’s just the power jumpers, at least on the 6HC.

If you're using the SD card that came with the Duet it should be prepared for Dual use. When placed in the SBC it will function as a Pi installation. When placed in the Duet, it will function in standalone mode. If you already have your config set going in the SBC mode, backup the files in the sys folder from DWC and place the SD card in a PC. It will show up as the Duet standalone card. Copy your config files across. Put the SD card in the Duet and it should be good to go.

Awesome thanks.

@r4ffers One extra thing; your SBC config.g won't have networking enabled. Follow the getting connected guide to set up WiFi or Ethernet connection. https://docs.duet3d.com/en/How_to_guides/Getting_connected/Getting_connected_to_your_Duet
