Wiring 4 wires 12v fan to 24v Psu?

Hi,

I want to connect a 12 cm fan as a box fan... The problem is that there are not many models of 12 cms and 24v, even more so when you look for them as quiet as possible.

Fans of 120 mm and 12 v there are many. And the reducers from 24 v to 12v, it is also easy to find. Good for that part

The problem.. Almost all those fans of 12 cm and 12v, are for pc... They use 4 cables.... I guess they can connect but I don't know how... Can anyone advise me?

The idea is to connect it to the Psu directly... By having 4 cables, with a dimmer (or did it seem) you could control the rotational speed?

@peirof maybe... Something like this can be used

@peirof you can connect a 4-wire fan using just the positive and negative wires, which are usually coloured red and black. You will need a buck regulator to provide 12V for the fan from the 24V PSU, unless you are using a Duet that has a 12V output.
