Duet 2 Wifi
-
I have a Duet 2 wifi about a month old and I has been working great up until this morning. I turn on printer and the board did not connect to my wifi. Inspected it to make sure all connections and jumpers will good, they were. Decided to hook up usb to computer and all of a sudden, the wifi powered up. Before I only had one light on. It appears normal now. Searched the forum and this is what I came up with.
https://forum.duet3d.com/topic/13007/duet-2-wifi-only-connects-via-usb/3I checked the 5v jumper and it is there also looked at the U3 chip and did not see any damage.

@o_lampe Yes I would like to get a replacement. Not sure about a multimeter to test though.

@gjameson Please post a good, clear, high resolution picture of your whole Duet board, so we can check for any damaged components. Where did you purchase the board?

Thank you for helping with this.ORDER #77969 Filastruder

@gjameson thanks. The 3.3V and 5V regulators appear undamaged, and I can’t see any other obvious damage. Have you checked the fuses? I notice the fan fuse is 2A, did you change that? Is you PSU definitely outputting the correct voltage?

Ok this was purchased on January 02, 2022.
It was working for almost a month with no problems. -
@gjameson Are you able to answer Droftarts questions above?

Did not change fuse and fuses appear to be fine and unbroken.
Can't say if PSU was outputting the correct voltage but I can tell you that it worked fine for almost a month and the Bigtree board worked great for over a year that was being powered with the ender power supply.

@phaedrux Had a chance to dig into this board today. It had:
A (blown) 1A fuse installed in the 7.5A Steppers & Heaters fuse holder.
A 2A fuse installed in the 1A fan fuse holderI installed a 7.5A fuse into the Steppers & Heaters fuse holder, and the board powered up and works fine, communicates over WiFI without issue.

@elmoret thanks for fixing it! A number of people including me asked about the fuses, but I guess the OP didn’t check all of them.
