Replacing Board, want to copy SD card
-
So I am having my Duet 2 Ethernet replaced under warrenty and do not want to transfer the SD card if I can just copy all the data from the old card to the new card. I assume I would need to physically move the card outside of the Duet to my PC or Linux machine to do this.
The card will already have the same format and structure and hopefully FM (3.3) as I do not want to change anything in the way things are currently working.
I have no custom macros so I guess all I "really" need is the sytem files since my gcode is all on my PC anyway. Is this correct? I know I can upload files from my PC to the duet but how do I download them from the Duet to the PC without moving the sd card to a card reader? -
@airscapes Using DWC, for sys: goto System, at the top of the file list, put a checkmark in the box next to Filename with the up/down arrow, it selects everything. Uncheck any folders, right click on a file name and select download as zip .
Doing it with a card reader in the PC will be required if DWC doesn't work.

@airscapes if your PC can read/write SD cards and the new SD card is the same size as the old one, then you can use a program such as Win32DiskImager to make an image file of the old SD card and then write it to the new one.

@dc42 @Stephen6309 Thank you both, the DWC is working, it is an intermitant network issue that can only be rectifed by reseting the board. Will grab everything now and if that does not work for me can alway copy the card externally.
Have a great weekend!
