LEDs with 5V fans?

I have converted my printer to an All-Noctua model to combat noise. Since I haven't been able to source small 12V fans, let alone 24V, I've had to convert my hotend fans to 5V, which is mostly working as intended. The only slight problem is that the illumination LEDs no longer work. I assume that the in-series resistors are too high in value even with the 12V jumper on, right? I'm thinking of replacing one of the resistors - would that be an "official mod", and which value should I use?

What are you looking for and where are you looking?
I have an assortment of 12v and 24v fans in a range of design and sizes from 25x25x10 and up that I have purchased over time.

@fcwilt The conversion is done, there is no point in arguing about the fans any more (which I believe should have been made clear by my post). 12V fans would have been possible, but I would have had to add another voltage converter for all fans to my system.

@vwegert the LEDs drop about 3V each and are wired in series, so to run them from 5V you would need to cut traces and wire them in parallel with individual series resistors instead. Alternatively, if your 5V fan draws no more than about 120mA, you could connect a 6.8V 1W zener diode in series with it ensuring correct polarity, then use 12V.
