Random Heater appears to be over-powered
-
Yesterday i started getting a error when activating T0 this is the error i get:
Warning: Heater 0 appears to be over-powered. If left on at full power, its temperature is predicted to reach 153C
Warning: Heater 1 appears to be over-powered. If left on at full power, its temperature is predicted to reach 433C
my PID settings are:
M307 H0 R0.470 C272.493:272.493 D1.62 S1.00 V24.0 B0
M307 H1 R1.727 C252.0:205.4 D5.68 S1.00 V24 B0I never got this error before and there were no hardware changes before i got the error. Does anyone know what may cause this and how to fix it. I have done PID-autotuneing several times for both heaters but after restarting the printer i always get this error.

@lee, assuming you get these errors during heater tuning, there is nothing to worry about. Just be aware that when the printer runs un-supervised and something goes majorly wrong, the heaters can get quite hot.
You are looking good ......

@jens55 I actually got this error after re tuning PID-Tuning for a other temp.
-
So do you get the error while running a tuning cycle or are you getting it when you are printing? If you are tuning and get this then it is nothing to worry about.
-
@jens55 I get this when i Toggel T0 from off to active not while running a tuning cycle
-
I have never seen this happen under these circumstances. I am afraid I have no answers ... sorry.
-
@jens55 Ok that's unfortunate maybe someone else can help me out. But thank you anyway

Do you have M307 commands in your tool change files?
The warnings are to let you know what temp the firmware thinks your heaters could hit in a runaway situation, but they only get triggered when the M307 commands are entered. So you either have an M307 in your tool change files, or... I dunno.
Post your config.g, etc etc so we can see what it's actually doing.

@phaedrux
These are the files that i think are relevant for thatconfig-override.g config.g tfree0.g tpost0.g tpre0.g
Filament settings:
config.gI have M307 in the filaments Config.g and i tried to remove it from there this fixed the problem but dose this mean that i cant have different PID setting for different filaments/temps.

@lee
I get these warnings everytime I re-run config.g with "M98 P"config.g". However, they don't pop up on a usual start, so I didn't pay to much attention to it.
I guess it's a legal thing, like: "don't put that Hamster in your Microwave" -
@lee said in Random Heater appears to be over-powered:

That explains it.
And no you don't have to remove it. It's just a warning.
