should cover it, refer to the link to the firmware install for bossa procedure after going through the link above.
-
@gaweyo yea bossa not showing either i think io shorted it out
-
Have you disconnected all other wiring?
Have you removed the SD card?
What LEDs are lit when connected to VIN?
Which are lit when connected to USB?
Have you used the erase button yet?
Have you tested the blade fuses with a multimeter?
Close up, well lit, photos of the board might show a bad component. -

I disconnected everything try to erase and reset and the lights that you see in the picture are still connected if I hook it up to 24 volt still same if I hook it up to five volt via PC still same the X and Y stop LEDs and the 3 and 5 volt I tried looking over the board for any damage I could not physically see any -

Did you go through that link and place the erase jumper to wipe any firmware? That should get it to show up as a Bossa port on the PC for reprogramming the firmware.
Did you test the blade fuses?
Did a racoon chew on your plug headers?
-
@Phaedrux tested fuses and they are good and that was first thing i did was try to
jump and erase firmware and stll nothing still shows up with lghts that you see pictued -
Do you notice any components getting hot to the touch?
-
YES PLUGGED IN TO USB TO CHECK AND ESP AND CARD READER GET HOT EVERYTHGING ELSE SEEMS COOL TO TOUCH ITS LIKE ALL THE LIGHTS THAT WERE ON WHEN IT FROZE STAY ON E1 HEAT X Y ENDSTOP
-
Is this a new Duet? Did it ever work?
When and where did you purchase it? -
@Phaedrux i purchased like 3 weeks ago from matterhackers out of california i had a clone before and wanted to support the original so bought this one i haventbeven had one print yet i had everythinh working fine homed everything than ran pid tunes then getting ready to print some calibration pieces than it just froze but it not even a month old
-
Can you post some photos of the top of the board so we can see if there's anything blown? Try get a close up well lit steady shot.
-
This post is deleted! -
@Phaedrux CAN I SEND IT IN TO BE FIXED IS IT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY BEING SO NEW
-
Why are the tabs on the connectors broken?
-
@Phaedrux WHEN I WAS SETTING MOTOR ETC IT WAS EASIER FOR ME TO TURN AROUND CONNECTORS THEN SWITCHING WIRES SO I CAN GET TO HOME IN CORRECT DIRECTION
-
There seems to be some burn marks near the fan header?
-
i didnt see anything burn out and it dpoesnt have that unique smell?i only had one 5v pwm fan hoooked to it but are you talking about between Y endstop and fan 2?
-
I am trying to work out what could have gone wrong with this board. Few questions:
why is there burns here:
Why is the housing removed form the fan voltage select header:
You say that the ESP and card reader get hot. That indicates they have been damaged, does the ESP still get hot without the SD card in? This damage normally happens when VIN voltage is applied to the 3.3V signal lines.
-
@T3P3Tony the housing was removed by accident came up with the jumper when II had 24 v hotend fan and switched to 12 v I used a a step down buck with positive connected as per douziki come to think of why the burn marks I did a hot shrink repair but board was off and used a hot air gun pretty positive that had no effect do you think because that housing was off that the vin power touched ocb and caused short?
-
@T3P3Tony and yes components get hot with nothing attached
