Question about bed probing
-
Hi,
I don't see anything like that.

You mean like the heightmap.csv?
-
@Phaedrux Like height errors resulted at each point in array in Object model. I know result is store in heightmap , but I want to compare them once the whole process is completed.

Compare them to what?

@fcwilt compare them with each other.

You mean two different height maps?
You can create a heightmap and save it using a unique name with G29 S3 P"filename".
The you can download the saved files and compare them.
While I don't compare them I use the feature to save/load low, medium and high point count height maps.

No
I still don't know if my bed is stable. So I want this feature where it will show me error dialogue telling me 'You need to level your bed' when bed is extremely titled. So basically I want to compare height errors with each other.

But to determine if the bed needed leveling it would perform all of the probing needed to level the bed - so why not just continue the process and level it?
How are you leveling you bed?
Thanks.

So the first thing to improve is the stabilty of the bed.
Otherwise you will compare one error to an other...
Or you have to mesh level before every print...
Had the same issue with my Hevo.
After modifying the bed frame, the thing is rock solid.
I mesh level the bed only for sanity 3-4 times a year.. -
@DIY-O-Sphere How you modified your HEVO Bed?

wanted to make it less human dependent .
No biggie... I'll go with current method .Thanks for the help

Hi,
I just run bed leveling twice at the start of a print. It only probes the bed at three points each time so it's not like it take a long time.
Can you clarify what you mean by "human dependent"?
Thanks.

If error difference is greater than a value then I want it to tell me. So then I will level my bed manually.

Perhaps you and I are talking about different types of bed leveling?
What do you do to manually level your bed?
Thanks.

So you don't have a Z probe?

@fcwilt I have

If you have a z probe why would you be using paper to level the bed?
Frederick

@fcwilt I started doing so after nozzle ran into my bed and scratched it
