PanelDueFirmware 3.2.6 released
-
Yet another release of PanelDueFirmware. This version fixes primarily critical memory leaks. More details see below.
Also the binaries are now inside a ZIP file that is named as the firmware binaries used to be. Inside the ZIP file is the firmware binary with the filename PanelDueFirmware.bin - this simplifies PanelDue flashing via Duet mainboard because there is no more renaming required. The ZIP file can be uploaded directly as "System File" in DWC and will be unzipped automatically.
Version 3.2.6
Upgrade Notes:
- This release is compatible with RepRapFirmware 3.2-beta1 or later. It will partially work with RepRapFirmware 3.1.1 but not with any older version.
Limitations
- Hardware limitations: see Release 3.2.0
- Reprint/resimulate button on DSF setups will only work with DSF 3.2-beta5 (or RC1 whatever will be version after beta4)
Changed:
- Improve data structures to hold the ObjectModel data
- Use more of the common code base from RRFLibraries to get rid of duplicate code
Bug fixes:
- Fix memory leaks
- Show fan value of current tool instead of hard-coded fan with number 0
Known Issues
- Reprint/resimulate button is broken (again)

Update
I updated all binaries in the above release to 3.2.6+1 to address the following two bugs:
- Fix reprint/resimulate button not sending the correct command (3.2.6+1)
- Fix reprint/resimulate button not hiding when mainboard restarts (3.2.6+1)

Can you please post the output of
M122
as well as yourconfig.g
(and possibly macros that it calls)? I have never seen such behavior. Also can you elaborate a bit on what exactly you mean by "turn off and on the printer"? Does this mean the PanelDue stays powered or will it power-cycle with the printer?
Have you made sure that baud rate of Duet and baud rate of PanelDue match? Possibly do a factory reset of PanelDue and set all values fresh.

@wilriker
now added this line to config.g M575 P1 B57600 S1. but bunch of stuff popping up at start. like (tool not selected) and more. but after that works . -
Hi, I have a multi-heater tool on my printer. It displays well in web control, but on the PanelDue the second and third heaters line up with the wrong tools (EDIT: actually, after rechecking they just aren't displayed. Only the first heater is visible). I'm running version 3.2.6 of the firmware but I believe this was the case in previous versions as well.

Yes, that is still a limitation of PanelDueFirmware. It will only display the first heater of each tool due to space constraints. 3.2.5 added support for a heater being shared across different tools (not your setup, obviously) which was also not supported earlier but multi-heater tools are not yet supported. I have some ideas on how to solve this but it might be a few releases out until I can really get to it. But right now release-cycle is pretty quick.

My fault: Forget to erase and reset...
Everything works fine.
Thank you!

@observatoer Hi there, did you get anywhere with this? i've just got the same message on a brand new 7i.

Upgrade RepRapFirmware to 3.2RC2.
-
@dc42 , ok will do. thanks.
-
@dc42, Hi there i've just noticed i'm running rrf3.1.1 on duet 3 with rpi4 even though i have run the sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get upgrade
-
@R4ffers that is the last stable version. You'll need to switch to the unstable repo to use the beta and release candidate versions.

Edit: autocarrot
-
@bearer , thanks for that. Do you have to remove the stable package feed first?
-
@bearer ,sorted now thankyou
