PanelDue 5 blurry rows
-
i reckon its likely physical damage to panel or connection through to the paneldue. pictures of the back with better lighting and focus may be helpful

@cdthomas9 is this new (I assume so with the new 6HC?) If so then it looks to be a warranty replacement, especially if the blurriness follows when you switch to other tabs.
-
It is new, but ordered from overseas with a board in a bundle. This blurriness persists in all things displayed on the screen. I didn't see anything on the back of the screen when I was installing it, but I wasn't really looking for it either. Just glancing over it to make sure it looked OK.

@cdthomas9 If it came in the bundle with the clone Duet 2 WiFi as shown in your other thread https://forum.duet3d.com/post/172269 then it's a clone PanelDue, as well. For any issues with this hardware, you need to take it up with whoever you bought it from. We don't/can't support any products that we didn't manufacture.

OK, thanks for the assistance. I'll see if I can tell if it is an original or not, is there an easy way to tell?

@cdthomas9 the easiest way is to see if the seller is a genuine Duet reseller:

PanelDue 5 (not 5i)
Also I don't think the non-i version of PanelDue has been in official channels for quite some time.

someone else might spot something relevant, thats kinda why I suggested uploading some pictures; but beyond the long shot below I think you'll be looking at repairs or replacement
a gentle massage to panel and interconnects may resolve issues with the panel or pin point where any issues with interconnections are. esd and short circuit precautions left and right should apply.

Thanks everyone for your help. I looked for the non i version specifically since it would fit the casing I had found. I'll check into the dimensions on the 5i, I might be able to swap it out and still use the case. I'll get a real one this time if it will work. Otherwise I might just run with it for a while if I can't get the vendor to replace it. Thanks again for all of your help guys!

Although I'd love you to buy a genuine PanelDue, IMO the vendor should replace the display panel. If the vendor won't, you could buy just a new display panel. There is a section in https://miscsolutions.wordpress.com/paneldue/ about compatible displays.

OK, thanks! I'll keep that in mind in case I have problems with a resolution
