Web UI (WiFi) and PanelDue stop responding when printing.
-
Using a newly replaced (had a bad fan FET) duet 2 wifi on a paneldue 7i. All genuine and recent purchases (within the last 6 mo) all running the latest firmwares as of today. The configs work and printing seems to be working.
The problem is that the instant my print starts, the web UI times out and the paneldue 7i freezes on the last screen it was on prior to printing. The print starts and finishes fine, but this is a new development. Normally, I usually lose faith in any SD card I recieve in anything stock, so I put the contents of the SD on a brand new 32GB SanDisk microsd and tried that. Like the last one, I'll get a functioning setup for a couple minutes, then it'll fail.
What can I try to resolve this? I'm getting pretty frustrated with seemingly flakey (but expensive) hardware..

That's an odd problem. Perhaps there is something in the start GCode of the print file that is causing it? Alternatively, could it be a VIN power issue that starts when the heaters are turned on by the print?
Are you able to connect via USB during the print?

@dc42 Well, I may feel stupid now.
"M140 S{material_bed_temperature}" is correct. "M140S{material_bed_temperature}"
Not sure what M140S is, but it seems to be a reprap bug that turns off the wifi/display. Fixed the space and it seems to be working now. I'll keep going and see if it keeps working (I did have one or two times where the previous gcode worked, so not getting my hopes up entirely yet.)

HI
today I am experiencing the same issues like micaheli.
Panel Due seems frozen, even STOP does not work.Things I have found out:
- PING works from PC
- DWC not responding
- Panel Due does work but no reaction from printer on actions
- Blue LED on
- Cooling Fans for Duet are running at full (controller temp controlled by Duet)
- Print still working fine (but as not comm with printer incorrect estimation from Panel eg frozen)
- Panel Due axis moves are not displayed
Is there a possibility that this might happen on too many reconnects to WIFI? Kind of process that blocks everything but the print?

@Hornetrider version are you on for the firmware and the WiFi server?

@jay_s_uk
FW 2.03
WIFI Server the corresponding latest FWHappend again. After repower of Duet and starting to print, it and hang up again.
So, I will wait until that print is finished to get the precise FW info. Sorry. -
What's in your start gcode? That was my problem. Can you paste it here?

I have the Same issue with FW 2.04. as soon as i enable cold Extrusion and start the Extruder Motor, my panelDue 5 gets unresponsive. Reproducible.
With FW 2.05 RC (latest) the M80 command in DWC does Not Work and makes DWC hang Up. I tried enabling the 24V on the Main Page as Well as a gcode command. The Power does Not get enabled and the GUI loops forever.
Please modify DWC regarding the deletion of Files so one would get a confirmation before the File gets really deleted. Another Thing that Bugs me is that Sometimes when saving a File it gets lost with a Size of 0kb. This Happens when i accidently Double Tip on the save-button. On my Smartphone i can further Not Upload any Firmware packages with the mobile-UI.
If needed, I can Provide remote Access and also log-files. My Setup consists of a Duet3D WIFI with DueX5 and PanelDUE 5 v3. 5V and 24V PSUs, everything temperature Monitored and Controlled.
Thanks in advance

Please start a new thread. This is not the same problem. The original poster had a fault in his gcode.

You've already reported this in another thread. See reply there.

Please post this to firmware-wishlist.

Hello Ian,
This was my First Post on this Board. With your last Response you are telling new Users to never Post anything here again and more Important, to never buy Duet Hardware again.I will now jump over my shaddow, create those 5 new Threads as you suggested and Hope for a similar Response there.
With best regards
Benjamin
