bed heater led constantly flickers, accompanied by constant ticking sound during print. how do i fix?

Hi,
Is your bed heater running in PID mode or in "bang-bang" mode?
How is the heater itself connected to the Duet?

how would i know if it's in pid?

Hi,
When you configured the heater for the bed you would have specified it in a M307 command.
You can execute a M307 command from DWC to report the current setup.

also see the documentation
https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Gcode#Section_M307_Set_or_report_heating_process_parametersbut its normal for the heaters to pulse, that is the pwm signal to limit the power transferred to the heater, so it can stay at the desired temperature.

What type of bed is it?

Thanks guys for all your input. I've solved the problem. I had an automotive type relay installed between the PS and Duet that certainly did the job of taking the bed heater current drain off the board, but it was noisy as heck as it approached the set bed temp. Removed the relay and wired bed heater straight to the board...problem solved.

I've been upvoted...it didn't hurt, I feel fine, but what does it mean?
