Maestro running 2 servos?
-
Hi all I have just upgraded to a dual switching extruder and need to drive the switching servo from my maestro board. I am already using the servo pin connected to my bltouch which needs to remain. What would be the best way forward. I’m considering using a pwm fan pin. Any advice welcome

are you using the 2nd heater?
see

I am yes

then i think you have reached the limit of the maestro.

@lyndon you may be able to use a fan pin. have a read of similar topics on the forum, for example:
https://forum.duet3d.com/topic/7525/driving-a-rc-servo-from-fan0-output/2Most of them will be for a Fan on the Duet 2 Wifi/Ethernet but the theory is the same.

my bad. i read that your fan pins were also in use.

From the table at https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Using_servos_and_controlling_unused_IO_pins#Section_Duet_2_Maestro the only servo-capable pin that can be reassigned is the Z probe MOD pin, which you are already using for bltouch. Your only other options are a fan pin or a heater pin.

Thanks all. I will have a read and probably come back with more questions
