across c3 I'm getting 4.6 volts... Anything else to check? I'm assuming this means I need to change out that chip...

Most probably, overheating caused this problem. I moved the controller from the heatbed side to the other side and the problem solved for now.

All PanelDue users: the PanelDue connector (or IO_0 on Duet 3) is no longer dedicated to PanelDue, therefore if you connect a PanelDue to this port you must use the following command in config.g to enable it: M575 P1 S1 B57600. You can use baud rates other than 57600, however the IAP files all assume 57600 baud; therefore if you use another baud rate then PanelDue will not display firmware update progress.

@sebkritikel Ah yes, thanks for pointing that out. It's a RRF3 change not specifically a Duet 3 change.

This seems to be the case, I remapped them the way they are suposed to be and now it's working fine, guess not many people remap their heaters! anyway, thanks for the help, off to lengthen some wires 😉

Not there, but it seams like it is the default. It is set to the expected parameters when I query "M575 P1". But I will try to add it tomorrow.

In 3.01-RC12 the M575 P1 command fails to tell you that the port is not enabled. The fix for that will be in the 3.01 release.

@titusou Thanks for pointing that out. I still think that this is not an acceptable solution. Why would I need to rewire my heaters just to get things right on the panel? Wiring is complex anyway, so I tried to simplify it by using Duex5 for all my heaters (except bed of course). So, still, I think PanelDue is an inferior solution to any wifi enabled touch screen device out there. And I cannot recommend to buy it - except for simple default setups, which is not what Duet boards are made for, right?

I won't keep banging my head on the same spot regarding this issue, but still hope that this will be fixed soon. Or then I just toss it and replace it with wifi touch.

Not without changing the firmware, default firmware will only look at the internal slot for config.g and /www at least

The SD card on the PanelDue also runs slower than the on board one.

The ribbon cable is only required if you need to use the SD card slot. So perhaps the 4wire cable would be a better option?

If you really do need the SD card, then check Mouser for cables and choose your European country.
