      Rather than start a new thread, I thought I would just try to build on this one. I'm also interested in converting to the use of volumetric extrusion. This would allow me to lock in some "standard" gcode (e.g., calibration prints), move filament-specific gcode into filament configuration, etc. I like the concept.

      My question is really this, though: Does someone have a document describing how they've made this transition, how they are using the Duet filament capabilities in conjunction, etc.? My searches are not turning up something helpful.

      I could just futz around and eventually figure this out, but I'd rather build off someone else's success.

      I am not 100% certain either way, but I believe those things might outdraw a Fan output in many cases. Since the result of a sustained over-current is a blown MOSFET on the DUET board, I wouldn't even try it.

      Expansion pin, or fan, to SSR. SSR to Solenoid.

      Thank you very much, that seems to be working.

      Now I only need one way to pause the temperatures, which is then restored when the print is taken up.

      Bed heater works with M140 S-273 = deactivate and with M144 S1 to activate

      I don't find anything that works for the extruder temperature.

      To me it looks like M702 completes before it is actually finished, so M701 is called out-of-order which generates this message. We will investigate why this is happening.

      The probeless probing code assumes that you are going to drop the nozzle until it touches the bed. What might work is to select tool 0, use G10 to temporarily set a tool Z offset of that height, then run the procedure, then set the offset back to zero.

      I have looked again at the implementation of M502. Currently it resets only those parameters that are normally overridden in config-override.g. However, I think it would be more compatible with how other firmwares behave if it ran almost all of config.g. So in the next release candidate it will run all commands in config.g except for network-related commands, T commands, and M501 commands.

      Hello,

      @dc42:

      When you press pause, macro file pause.g is executed. You can configure what it does in that file. If you raise the print head before doing the XY movement, it should remain clear of your print.

      I optimized the file for the pause, in this case, Z5 is enough.

      OK, I have cancel.g (executed when canceling via pause function) found, that is at least a small remedy. (Maybe something for you? @biscuitlad)

      But I do not understand that, this detour over the pause function.
      It is not necessary to press emergency stop in case of a dangerous situation, if it would be sufficient to run an abort frequency (for example only G28 Z + retract without X, Y axis movement) in order to avoid a bigger collision.

      Was this changed recently, because I had read something similar in "upgrade notes"?

      Sending M0 or M1 from a source other than the SD card no longer stops an SD card print that is not paused

      Thanks, I'll have the configurator changed. The firmware was changed (in version 1.19 AFAIR - see the release notes) so that any axes not mentioned are not moved.

      This also overrides the temperatures defined in G10, right?
      I was hoping that there would be a possibility to work with the new G10 (for example G10 P0 S225 R170) function.

      But I need a variant to implement the preheat.
      Is there something there?
