This demonstrates well why absolute extruder coordinates should not be used in 3D printing. This problem (and others that are often reported) would not have happened if relative extruder coordinates were standard.

Question: When you are testing the trigger height, are you moving the probe to over the same XY coordinate as where the nozzle tip was when you zero it?

Dive height refers to the z height that the print head will move to before a probing move. It needs to be high enough to allow the BLTouch pin to drop down and settle completely before making contact with the bed.

If something like this happens the best course of action is to run M122 to get a diagnostics report that might include some useful information. The results get cleared after a reboot, so it's best to do it before power cycling it if possible.

Were there any error messages in the gcode console?
