The temperature you turn it on is up to you. I have mine set to 45C; hot enough that the fan isn’t on when machine is idle, cold enough that it turns on early when hot end is turned on.

This is about at the end of the line for remote troubleshooting it seems. something else is likely wrong in addition to the hole in the chip.

M98 parameter should be in quotes, eg M98 P”macro_name.g”, though may still work without depending on firmware version. See https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Gcode#Section_M98_Call_Macro_Subprogram

@dc42 Thanks. I've got to get back to getting the Cortex dev board running with RepRapFirmware & RADDS so thought I may as well use the H on all if it causes no harm.

@FelixH you don't need to use the magnetic rods. There are adapters that can be used to allow the original rods to be used. You'd just need access to a printer that works to print the adatper
