RE: Parallel Scara based on Morgan.
Finally got a test set of arms printed and a mount for the Nema 17 harmonic drives. Here it is in action. https://youtube.com/shorts/bj47uQ08zV0?feature=share

RE: Parallel Scara based on Morgan.
A couple pictures of the first print complete. I am amazed how good it came out without part cooling even.

@o_lampe Video link should work now.

RE: Parallel Scara based on Morgan.
First printing with the Scara looking good so far. No z endstop so set it with piece of paper and no heated bed as my PSU mount is printing so running off a 5 amp 24V power pack. Using a Bondtech BMG for bowden drive with a Phaetus BMO hotend. Link to youtube video below. This is my first time ever uploading to youtube so if it does not work I apologize and will fix it.

@o_lampe I see now thanks for pointing that out. I hope they are decent quality and good enough.

RE: Parallel Scara based on Morgan.
Bit of an update firmware seems solid but unfortunately I thought 15mm diameter carbon fiber tube would be strong enough for the rotational forces and i was wrong. I have some twisting which causes a springiness on the inner shaft. Now going to 25mm for the inner shaft which is the diameter the outer used to be and 30mm for the outer.
I also purchased a set of https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BQ728M9F/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
These are 30:1 with 0.6 degree steppers. Supposed to have 2 Arcmin back lash which is 0.03 degree so should be plenty accurate. I thought about going true 5 bar with those mounted 45mm apart I would have the same print area as I do now. Anyone have any experience with these?

RE: Compiled Firmware with 5bar-Scara / Dual-Arm-Scara
@oliof Thank you. I went ahead and tried 3.4.5 and have my Morgan style moving and all looks correct. Still need to install bed and hot end.

Is 5bar still be developed or worked on?

Parallel Scara based on Morgan.
Wanted to build a Morgan so instead of trying to convert the pipes used in it I built my frame from 2020 rail and made by own bearing blocks and some other bits.

Reprap Morgan using 5 Bar Scara Configuration?
@dc42 You provided me with help when setting up my polar printer which by the way works great now. I am no trying to set up a Morgan based scara 3d printer and would like to use Reprap instead of Smoothiware. Could you provide any assistance please. I know you are busy with other requests.
Basically it is a Morgan just with a different frame but same mechanics
Looking at the 5 bar scara documentation am I right to assume that you could set both actuators to 0,0 and work mode 2 and a Morgan should work with Reprap? Or am I missing something else?

RE: Polar Printer Bed Mesh
I was playing around some more and think I found something.
If I home the printer and have my probe offset set to X +45 and issue a G30 P1 X-70 Y0 -99999 H0 the X axis moves + to the outer edge of the bed with the nozzle off the the edge no rotation of bed so that means the X is going plus when the bed should rotate 180 degrees and nozzle move to 70 on X.
If I do the same above move but with the X probe offset at 0 then the nozzle moves to 70 and the bed rotates the 180 degrees giving me X-70 Y0 under nozzle.
With a setting of M557 S75 R20 with no X probe offset G29 does probe the entire bed at the correct nozzle coordinates, But of course not a good mesh because of no offset.
I believe adding the probe offset is somehow messing up the kinematics. But I am no coder. Hope this helps.

Does the drawing provide any insight into my issue?

RE: Polar Printer Bed Mesh
Here is a rough drawing of where it probes. Hope this helps

RE: Polar Printer Bed Mesh
Can you please help if you can.
I have a polar printer with a diameter of 240mm. I can currently print on the entire bed. My origin 0,0 is the center of the rotating bed.
My test so far is I home the printer and it is at 0,0 if I issue a G0 X120 the nozzle moves out to the edge of the bed. If I issue a G0 X-120 it moves back to 0,0 the bed rotated 180 degrees and the nozzle moves out to the edge of the bed again. So I believe everything is correct motion wise. I can print a 40x40 cube and dimensions are correct. Just wanted to very that the printer is working an prints good.
So the problem I am having is that I want to run bed mesh probing. But when I issue a G29 it only probes a 80x80 diameter to the one side of the bed. I included my M557 below. I end up with +40 -40 on X and Y in the height map but it never goes to the other side of the bed.
M557 R75 S20 set and it is not the full radius as my probe is 45 to the + of the nozzle.
Thank you.

RE: Polar Printer Bed Mesh
0,0 is the center of the bed. As per the Polar setup on the website.
