@juliann please can you post the M122 once the issue occurs. I see driver 2 is one of the Z axis motors so its unlikely to be moving wiring causing the issue but can you check that you can't recreate the issue by moving the wiring around. Also something to check would be to switch the motors in driver 1 and driver 2 at the Duet end, update your config to match, and see if the issue moves with the motor or stays with the driver.

@juliann sorry i have been afk.. a couple of other suggestions-

you might want to consider seperating homing/leveling out from you print file.
make a seperate macro and use that at the start of a print 'session'

that way if you have to cancel and restart a print, you are not going through the whole procedure of homing/leveling.

you mentioned trying to print with PETG- i suspect you came across some old posts about how hard and finnicky it can be. most of that advice is just rubbish. dont get intimidated.

petg wants slower and no cooling. I use the same filament profile for PETG as PLA only temps are 235 and cooling 0. I may have bumped retract/destring a hair.

Good news!
Just to confirm you, I put the SSR + config.g line to activate an output and this way solved completely my issue.

No more fan noise during boot or when I reset/ emergency stop the printer. 🙂

@pixelpieper the problem appears to be solved in firmware 3.4beta3.

Yes, slicer start gcode is a good spot, or the end of homeall if you want to have it active for jogging around before a print or something.
