      config.g/config.g.bak, are small files. They easily may be stored in some onboard NVM, protected, available for easy restore. The same is true for all sys and macro files. This could be implemented in Duet 4 boards... maybe, with an onboard memory, protected, and sdcard used only for the rest, even if it is possible to store all of the files in a larger internal memory.
      Just my 2c
      Back-up is a good and cheaper alternative though,... đŸ˜„

      @IdahoCastleman I suspect that you made a connection where the current which is used for the steppers was routed through the board somehow, so a picture of your circuit or an image would be helpful to see whether it can be avoided with the new board. Maybe you connected the ground for step/dir and stepper, which is not necessary with the TB6600 (it's opto coupled) and you had a ground loop. But to see what could be the reason one needs more information about the wiring.

      So I figured it out. In the Home all the First G1 with the H1 in it. For some reason it worked before but doesnt allow the z axis to go below the zero set at power up. But I can home all axis now. Funny how you miss stuff til you post with a problem

      Thanks for the info. The issue was with the panel. I was able to press the ribbon cable on the back of the TFT and the lines went away.

      Hmm, could anybody test pausing for me on a recent firmware build? During a print (that you don't mind discarding for testing purposes) can you pause the print… wait a few minutes... resume... let the print go on for a few minutes, pause, wait a few more, then resume, and tell me if the head crashes or attempts to move to some odd location? I'm in the middle of some important prints, and I've found a firmware build that is stable for me, hence why I haven't updated in ages. Otherwise, I'd update and try it myself.

      If you are using an oscilloscope to look at the signals, you should see the end of each of those resistors that is connected to the microcontroller switch between 0V and nearly 3.3V, and the end connected to the diode switch between 0V and about 1.2V.

      There is a longer term aspiration to more tightly integrate the functionality embodies in the configuration tool that Jackal linked with DuetWebControl. There is other work higher up the priority list right now though.
