Nice, I Would like to test it too on my BLV mgn Cube project and adapt it to the project
I tried to send you p.m but you are on DND mode .. -
Wiring Diagram - using 12V fans on a 24V system
As part of my 'BLV mgn Cube" 3d printer project - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3382718
i have been asked a few times, how to to use 12V fans on a 24v system.
Although Its a very simple task, yet i have found no easy wiring diagram, so i made one.
I hope it could help someone: -

at a build plate of 500 i would expect that the 2 rails would not be enough to ensure the stability of bed.
you could modify the build and add 2 additional rails and obviously the front panel would not fit anymore.if you are not comfortable about doing your own mods you could have a look at the voron 2.1, which allows for such build volumes
@Warren-Abraham
For bigger bed plate i would recommend adding one more rail (3 z axis setup) and using auto ture leveling. It will be much better then using 4 rails. (Installation of 4 rails is a nightmare) -

RE: BLV mgn Cube - 3D printer Project
@mogal before i published the project, i had to run countless software simulations, hw tests and so on.
Using 2040 is very crucial for the rigidity of the frame. Unfortunately, at least two of the guys that tried to use 2020 instead of 2040 had massive ghosting/ringing and problems related to frame changes.
I would advise you to stick with the original frame design.. -

Great respect to your work!
Your doku is really good and you have really put in a lot of time - no children and no woman at homeThank you, you will be surprise to know that i do have wife and small children..
Making it took tons of time, stress and angry wife.. but it was worth it -

Great looking project! The finishes are looking amazing on the sample parts.
One question, I looked at your S3D profile, you aren't using relative extrusion? Any reason why you don't use it?
@timcurtis67
I got to point that it the print quality was good for me, However i guess that when
i will have some free time - changes can be made@veti said in BLV mgn Cube - 3D printer Project:
very nice. I wish your design had been done before i build my corexy.
how does it compare to your blv AM8?
have you tried the robotdigg mgn rails? i had some problems with my rails from CNA Mechanical Parts Store
@Veti
Honestly, both are good although the moving bed was a bit less optimal for bigger prints.
Also, the robotdigg are excellent as long as the measurements are the same as MGN12H -

@blv Looks like a great printer!
One question though: in the BOM you list high temp magnets. How and where do you attach them?
@wilriker Hi, you have two options:
- to stick a flexible sheet of adhesive magnet (i don't like this option, since the flex magnet sheet is not flat at all areas)
- The best option to my opinion: stick high temp 12 magnets with 3M adhesive (in the BOM i gave a link for the magnets and sticker in one place) in on top of them the Bed insulation.
I also made an image that will explain it:

BLV mgn Cube - 3D printer Project
Hi guys
Well i just published my new project: "BLV mgn Cube" on Thingivers.com
EDIT: The Project now has a new home: https://www.blvprojects.com
It a kind of Open source project with all the CAD files and the necessary assembly instructions.
You will find there many pictures, videos, animations, PDF files, firmware config, profiles and more..
I would appreciate if you could please click on the link and tell me what do you think about it.Special thanks to David @dc42 for his tremendous help and Tim from Filastruder for his support.
Link to my project: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3382718
Thank you

RE: Problems installing the IR Probe on the Duet Ethernet
I have to say that David's mini IR module is the best height sensor to use with the duet board. I am getting the most accurate readings..

I've been having some problems with my 3D Touch (when it probes a hot bed), so I made a video to ask for a new one, is your probe behaving different from how its seen in the video?
Sorry for the background noise around the middle, the power company is making some holes.Its almost identical, except that in my case its deploying the pin only one time after it already probed the point. (On your video its deploying even more).

I think it being a clone has more to do with it than anything.
Have you verified the trace is cut with a multimeter?
I dont think so, because yeataday i installed my friend's genuine Bltouch v2.0 smart and it has the same problem.
Yes, i used a microscope at work to cut the trace and verified with a fluke. -
RE: Bl-touch re-deploy after probing or z homing
Mine is a DuetWifi 2 v1.01
today i played with all the M558 parameters but nothing changed this wired behavior.
the Bltouch is a clone with 3.3v output (trace has been cut)
