Yes, that's good for a normally-closed switch too.

@droftarts i have figured out the problem the 5v supply to pi is split one to the touch screen and the other the board, so if i disconnect the power to the pi and power the duet it works with top jumpers connected. Thanks for your help.

@chrishamm thanks for the code i changed it slightly to configure to sensor #3 as i am using a Duet 2 board as i assume sensor #2 is taken by the second extruder. By the way your Web control is really good, i used smoothie boards for years not a patch on the duet with all its features and software interfaces.

I have just ordered a duet 6HC and looking forward to interfacing it with the raspberry pi and designing my own screen.

Ditch the M305 commands, they are not used in RRF3. Instead, you should first create sensors using M308, then use M950 to create the heaters and associate them with sensors.

Spoken to supply of the Phase angle controller and 0 to 5V PWM input is capable. What pins can i use on the duet to give this output and how would it be coded?

chinese B3950 thermistors can be tricky at higher temperatures. as the B3950 only refers to the range of 25-50C. and different ones behave differently at higher temperatures.

the thermistors sold by e3d (semitec) as well tested on the duet and provide accurate results.

pt1000 on a duet wifi should also be good for a bed.
