Short circuit on TMC stepper driver

Hello,
i think i destroyed my board by a short circuit
.
I stupidly dropped a screw on the contacts of the TMC stepper driver when the board was switched on (see marking in the picture). I didn't have my cover on it.
Now I get the following error like in the picture and after a few minutes I lose the Wifi connection. I also watched the board with a thermal camera and the TMC2660 gets hot directly after switching on.
Can I switch off the stepper driver 3 and control my extruder with stepper driver 4?
And why do I lose the Wifi connection after few minutes?
Can I still save something or do I have to buy a new one?

If you get that error message even when nothing is connected to the E0 motor output, then the damaged driver will need to be removed to allow the board to function normally. Removing stepper drivers from a Duet can be done using SMD rework hot air equipment and a hotplate.

yes, i get also that error message when the E0 motor is disconnected. Do you think that after the removing of the stepper driver the wifi works correctly again?

I suspect that the driver is drawing excessive current from the +3.3V supply, causing the 3.3V regulator to overheat and go into partial shutdown and reduce its output voltage. That in turn will affect the WiFi module.

I removed the stepper driver from board (but I used a small side cutter) und the Wifi is now stable.
With M569 P3 R-1 i disabled the driver and now i get no more error message.
