Duet WiFi DNS Name Change
-
Once I've setup the Duet WiFi the first time and assigned a name to it, how can I go back and change the name? I'm afraid I may have used an illegal name since I'm unable to get my browser to find it when I go to http://25kd300.local. Using the same steps I took for the initial setup do not seem to work. Is there any plan to make the usual M550 code work for this? Is there any plans to make the name not require the .local and
Also, is there a gcode for displaying the current IP address other than doing an M552 to stop/start the WiFi? It would be really nice if the PanelDue showed the current IP address. Because the domain name isn't working for me currently, I have to access the printer via IP address. When it starts up with a different address then I currently have to stop & start WiFi to figure out what the IP is.
Thanks!

you should be able to edit that in the config file on the SD card..
M550 PZestyZero ; Machine name and Netbios name (can be anything you like)
Results in name of ZestyZero

IanAll of those things are on the firmware wish list. Currently the only way to change the name is to turn off wifi on your router so that the wifi module starts up in access point mode when you enable it.

I attempted that several times before posting this and could never see the AP again from my laptop the way I could during the initial setup. I'll try again tonight.
Thanks,
