@dc42 and all Admins! Maybe we need to have off topic board? For example I am crazy about Python, Machine Learning, LIDARs and etc and don't have a place to talk Just an idea... Delete please if not allowed
-
@briskspirit sounds great. Let's get some suggestions for names.
I actually see something like ML as being not completely off topic if there is a tie into 3dprinting.
Then there is a totally off topic (jokes, cat videos) which is a seperate discussion!
-
@t3p3tony Something like: Other Tech Talks ? Or Other Hobbies?
I don't know if we need cats/jokes etc -
Ok I have not forgotten about this, took time to decide what the best title was and not sure I have nailed it. however have created a
"Wider Discussion" section
with (so far)
"3D Printing general chat"
"Off Topic"Let me know what you think.
Also moved this post into the off topic area so there is a post there!
-
@t3p3tony would this be a good time to request a dedicated troubleshooting / get help category?

Does this question qualify as being off topic?

A couple of suggestions from posts that crop up from time to time but aren't really related to Duet hardware or firmware.
"Pimp your rig" - sources and fitting of LED lights, sources of quiet fans and other "accessories"
and
"Slicers" - general non firmware related stuff.
and " Print quality issues" - non firmware related.
-
@Phaedrux Possibly FAQ - Although really that is better in the documentation. The troubleshooting (in my mind) is broken down into the sub categories already. That said, feel free to see what the general feeling in (using the general discussion forum) about reorganising where posts go.
@deckingman for now lets lump those into "general 3d printing chat", except for print quality issues, which is difficult because it is often the intersection between many different factors.

also, emoji's are now much larger for me, I will look into that as the smaller ones were better
-
@t3p3tony ok now smaller again.
