Kossel XL+ specifics

A bit of offtopic, but I figured this forum probably the best place to ask for this. Can anyone tell me what the bed dimensions on T3DP3D/DC42 Kossel XL+ (with 390mm horisontal extrusions) would be?
My good old Kossel Mini R2 hardware isn't cutting it anymore, so I've already ordered most of the hardware upgrades and wanted get myself one of those PEI-coated beds to go with it.

Are you talking about the kit they sell?

Or are you going to make it yourself?

The T3P3 Kossel XL Plus heatbed is 300mm diameter and fits exactly on the triangle formed by the outside edges of the horizontal base extrusions. DC42's Precision Kossel (which our kit was largely based on) uses a 330mm diameter bed which extends outside the base triangle. Either will work, but the bigger bed will benefit from the more powerful 350W mains heater which DC42 uses.

@number40fan I'm making one myself with a very similar BoM.
@Roland Thanks, that's pretty much what I wanted to know. Just wanted to get a rough estimate of how far the mounting holes should be. I think I'll go with a 330mm one since I've got a beast of a 500W 300mm heater coming in from Keenovo.

A hexagonal bed about 330mm across flats would work too and not protrude outside the frame.

@dc42 And what would be the distance from the mounting holes to the center?
I normally order this kind of stuff from clever3d.de, they do nice custom cut aluminum tooling plates with PEI coating.

Remind me on Monday when I am back in the office, and I will measure it.

@dc42 Thanks a lot, will do!

@dc42 Hi there, could you still tell me how far those mounting holes are in the Kossel Xl bed? Thanks!

@mike, according to my measurements a hexagonal plate that is 303mm across flats would just cover the horizontal extrusions without overlapping them. As the extrusions are 20mm wide, the mounting screws would need to be set 10mm in from the edges. Caution: these figures may be 1mm (or more out).
