Duet 3 6XD - Fried 3.3V Regulator
-
Hello,
It seems that I have fried something on my Duet 3 6XD - I was switching motors and was not careful to power off the board before dis/connecting things.
My laptop cannot connect to it via USB (issue is not the cable nor port, as I can connect to my other boards) and when it powers on, only the KUSB & K5V+ LEDs turn on, the K3.3V does not.
Checked the resistance between GND and the 3.3V pins and it is ~12 Ohms, much lower than on my Duet 2s (~5 kOhms).
I tried to inspect the components on the board & found that U4 gets very hot when powered by the USB - could someone confirm this is indeed the 3.3V regulator? Having trouble confirming this.
Would also appreciate if someone could confirm the component's part number so that I can purchase a replacement.
Many thanks,

@polbebe yes U4 is the regulator for the 3.3V internal supply, part number AP7361C-33E-13.

@dc42 thank you!
Is there anything else that you can think I may have to look out for?

@polbebe do any other components get hot apart from U4? It's possible that some other component powered from the 3.3V internal rail has failed and is overloading the regulator. Check the main microcontroller in particular.
