Dual z axis motor

Hello guys,
I was working on my z axis on my new printer, it usage 3 spindles and motors to drive the axis.
I made a smale PCB with some concentors so i could connect all of the 3 motor in parallel. On the Duet there are two concentors so i used bot port to connected to the PCB i made.
So all the motors are connected in parrallel. so my driver blown up…...Why are there 2 connector on there!?
If you connect two motors in serie you don`t need a second port!?!?
Now I have to buy a brand new duet, another 180 euro`s lost!?
So i would like to know why you have put that second port there, I assumed the ports where parrallel to another.

The two Z motor connectors on the Duet are connected in series, as described at https://duet3d.com/wiki/Connecting_stepper_motors#Duet_WiFi, because that works better for the types of motor that are normally used in 3D printers.
Three Z motors in series will probably work OK if you use 24V power. Please let is know the specifications of your Z motors if you want further advice.

Yes I saw that after I blow up the driver.
I also run 24v. But I don't get I why the second plug is there, if you run to motors you only need one plug.Now I need to get a new board.

I'm sorry to hear that you damaged your Duet. Which country are you in? Forum user W3DRK who is based in the US offers a Duet repair service and can replace the Z driver.
