RepRapFirmware configuration limits

Good Afternoon All!

I am reaching out for some help as i have made a HUGE oversight with my duet hardware that i purchased! I am needing 60 external outputs for a big pick and place machine we are retrofitting. I have the Duet 3MB6HC and 7 Duet 3 EB 3HC, Main and expansion boards. Have worked through allof the wiring but the feeders and am running into a big issue.

I was having issues when using the higher number Pins i had assigned. Started to look into the RepRapFirmware limitations and see where you can only use up to 32! Big mistake on my part. I looked into the limitations for the CAN bus using this many boards, no where did i come across the MAX OUTPUT limitation.

Looking for any ideas, suggestions, or a stern talking to about not doing my homework!!!

@BlakeG its possible that the number of outputs could be increased. @dc42 would be the best person to answer

@BlakeG I can increase it in the next 3.5beta release. 56 outputs should certainly be possible, probably 64.
