Toolboard environment ambient temperature limits
-
What is a sensible limit for the ambient temperature around a Tool Board 1LC?
If it's not close to a stepper, nor to heater block, will one be happy in an enclosure heated to 50C? At what point does additional cooling become prudent?

@achrn i run mine in a chamber that reaches 55 degrees. IIRC, the board is rated to 85 degrees

@achrn i run my 1LC in a heated chamber at 65C and its fine. i report the toolboard MCU temperature so i can actively monitor it, and the toolboard gets up to 82C and does not give any errors.
i plan to go higher chamber temp so i will water cool the 1LC.

@jay_s_uk @RogerPodacter thanks both. I don't intend to go above 50C-ish so both your responses give me reassurance. I'm still in planning stages of the next printer at the moment but all the other electronics and PSUs will be going outside the chamber, I'm thinking about what the brains will be, and at the moment mini-5 plus toolboard is looking preferred.

@achrn @RogerPodacter There are component son the boards that are rated to 85C so that is an absolute maximum. I suggest an ambient above 50C may require some cooling to the toolboard (e.g. airflow) depending on what stepper currents you are running and the heater current.
