Hotend 100˚ less on ToolBoard?

@Dizzwold what type of thermistor did it come with? Or have you reused the original thermistor?
-
It's a NTC 100k. I was using it before fitting the toolboard with no issues.
-
Can you send M122 and M122 B121 in the gcode console in DWC and copy and paste the results here?
Can you reconnect the heather and thermistor to the main duet board and reconfigure to confirm that the thermistor reading is then correct?
What PID values did you get? Do you have saved PID values from when the heater and thermistor were connected to the mainboard to compare with?
When and where did you purchase the toolboard?
-
@Phaedrux
Ahh, That could be the problem. I have the above pid settings in my config.g from when I first set everything up (on the main board).
Now that I've installed the toolboard an ran the pid tune, and the new figures are in the config-override.g, as I typed M500 afterwords.
Is that correct or not?; config-override.g file generated in response to M500 at 2022-10-21 12:57 ; This is a system-generated file - do not edit ; Heater model parameters M307 H0 R0.199 K0.237:0.000 D1.87 E1.35 S1.00 B0 M307 H1 R2.414 K0.284:0.000 D8.15 E1.35 S1.00 B0 V23.6 ; Probed tool offsets G10 P0 X0.00 Y0.00 Z0.00 ; Workplace coordinates G10 L2 P1 X0.00 Y0.00 Z0.00 G10 L2 P2 X0.00 Y0.00 Z0.00 G10 L2 P3 X0.00 Y0.00 Z0.00 G10 L2 P4 X0.00 Y0.00 Z0.00 G10 L2 P5 X0.00 Y0.00 Z0.00 G10 L2 P6 X0.00 Y0.00 Z0.00 G10 L2 P7 X0.00 Y0.00 Z0.00 G10 L2 P8 X0.00 Y0.00 Z0.00 G10 L2 P9 X0.00 Y0.00 Z0.00

@Dizzwold said in Hotend 100˚ less on ToolBoard?:
Is that correct or not?
Yes that is fine. You have M501 at the end of your config.g so it would load config-override.g at the end and those values would override whatever you had in the config.g itself.
When and where did you purchase the toolboard? Has it ever read correctly?
-
It's the Fysetc purchased June 21 and it's never been used.
I just tried testing the temp with another handheld thermometer and I get 188˚c, when I've asked for 238˚c in DWC,
DWC states 238˚c, yet only 188˚c
One thing I didn't do when doing the pid on the nozzle (the last 3 times), was I didn't move the head around. That wouldn't be the cause would it? -
Oh, so it's a clone board.
Also those handheld temperature meter's aren't great for stuff like this I've found.
-
@Dizzwold
I've fixed it, with stripping the extruder to check for any ware, new heater cartridge, new NTC thermistor, new heatblock sock, rebuilt and re-pid tune. -
Yep, a clone Toolboard and clone Hemera.
I'm disabled, and on UK benefits due to health, so after purchasing the original and authentic Duet3 6HC, I couldn't afford the authentic Toolboard or Hemera, so please don't hold that against me. I will over time manage to afford these as original products.

@Dizzwold Not holding it against you at all. Just mention it next time as it may lead the help/advice a different route. Technically there isn't a clone Hemera just similar looking products.
Glad it's working now.
