Overtravel emergency stop Duet 2
-
Using either the CONN_LCD pins or external driver expansion board is there a possibility of damaging the Duet by abruptly breaking the step output connection while outputing steps. Thinking of using 2 SPDT switches in series between step signal output and external driver. Bad/good idea? Or if someone has another strategy for killing step output I'm open for suggestions

Can you give some more detail about what you're trying to accomplish?

@phaedrux I was looking for a way to kill the motor instantly but I think I worked past it with rubber stops. I was testing a PMDC servo on my motor test rig with 7kg's of mass simulant tungsten attached. At 42kmm/m travel speed concern was a loss of control could get ugly. All went well though. Thanks for the support
