Alfawise U10 conversation
-
Hi friends!
I have an Alfawise U10 which has been waiting for duet wifi some time. The time has come now. Suddenly the original knob got stuck indicating that it was time to change the motherboard to duet wifi. The board fits the box ok, the endstops need to be wired so that they are "on" instead being "off".
The Alfawise power supply gives 12.4 volts and the heat bed resistance is 0.6 ohms.Now the problem I faced was the heating of the bed and the nozzle:
Error: Heater 0 fault: temperature rising much more slowly than the expected 1.8°C/sec
T0
Error: Heater 1 fault: temperature rising much more slowly than the expected 1.7°C/sec
Firmware: RepRapFirmware for Duet 2 WiFi/Ethernet 3.2.2 (2021-02-11)
Duet WiFi Server Version: 1.26
I ran the pid tuning but it did not help. Any suggestions what to do next? -
If you post the PID values for both heaters it will help others help you.

@alankilian
ok, I try M303 T0 S205"Failed to get file list
Directory 0:/macros/ not found"
Is that ok?Warning: Auto tune of heater 1 failed due to bad curve fit (R=1.782, 1/C=0.0050:0.0049, D=9.8)

Well something is wrong.
Let's go back to the basics. Please post the following:
- config.g
- config-overrides.g
- M98 P"config.g"
THIS PAGE shows how to tune the heater models.
Also, THIS PAGE shows a step-by-step tuning process.
If you can post the console output while each step is running as shows in the example it will also help. -
@alankilian
I updated firmware 3.3-
hotend works fine now

bed doesn´t. Error: Heater 0 fault: temperature rising much more slowly than the expected 1.4°C/sec

Since there's no file config-override.g and there's no M501 in your config.g it looks like you tuned your heaters but forgot to save the tuning parameters and forgot to add the code to load them back when rebooting.
Follow the step-by-step sequence on THIS page to tune, save and load the tuning parameters.

@alankilian
I got results after hours of tuning:
M307 H0 B0 R0.086 C686.8 D1.84 S1.00 V12.5
Bed seems to heat up now.
I have an impression that RepRapFirmware for Duet 2 WiFi/Ethernet 3.3 (2021-06-15) solved the problem.
Many thanks! -

Excellent.
I'm glad you got it working.
Post a picture of something you print sometime.
I'd love to see something. -
@alankilian
Now printing chain links. A terrain model for modular building modules lies in front of the printer.
BTW I have no idea what is a reasonable max speed and acceleration for this kind of configuration.
And is there something else I could implement here?
Z-Probe and 2 end stops for z axis could be nice. My custom toolchanger has end stop stall detection, why not here?
