Best Z Probe for Duet 3 Mini 5+

Just trying to figure out what is the best, most reliable Z Probe that any experienced person in this forum could strongly recommend with confidence??? I have a BL Touch currently configured for the actual Z Probe but am on the fence about the actual probing pen as it seems prone to breaking. Ive contemplated the Super PINDA v2 which is original to the Prusa if Im not mistaken and it seems / looks like a more solid mechanically speaking choice for a Z Probe but I lack the experience in using any Z Probe for that matter to make an informed decision for my choice of Z Probe so please let me know your thoughts and opinions as Im trying to make the better hardware decisions right now . Im all ears lemme know please!!!!

@pickett Some probe types don't like certain bed surfaces. (eg. IR-probe on glass bed)
So it would be good to know whats your print bed like. -

i haved some of them... and, for me, the best its Precision Piezo Orion.... Hard to setup.... but... good results

@peirof that is what I keep hearing about that particular setup so have you heard any good things about the generic precision piezo off of Amazon.com?

I plan on using Garolite g10 FR4 for the build plate cause Ive heard so many great things about the fiberglass like material

@pickett In which case you do not want to use an inductive probe like the PINDA probe as this will not detect a non metallic surface.

@peirof I have precision piezo orion v2 and I love it...why you say it's hard to setup? I don't find it harder than let's say bltouch to set up...

I always thought, there is a steelball inside the probe, that triggers the inductive probe? Like a ballpen...the ball sticks out halfway

@o_lampe Not that I'm aware off I'm pretty sure that a PINDA probe does not actually touch the bed surface at all, certainly the standard one (not the latest super pinda), that I have is standard inductive probe.

@gloomyandy ..hmmm, maybe I saw an aftermarket design (thingiverse?) that had the steelball and PINDA in a housing. Nevermind ...

@pickett Euclid Probe. It's a dockabe/removable probe that uses magnets for electrical and mechanical connection.
It uses a microswitch which is proven in terms of reliability,. It does not care what the bed surface is- textured PEI, glass, garolite. Its unaffected and not influenced by magnetism. You don't have to worry about preheating the nozzle schmutz. Standard is 80C service, but higher temp service version are available.
Proof is in the results- this is first run on a RailCore.
Here is bedmap of another RailCore with a 'defective' magbed- the probe is actually sensing the deflection of the Builtak sheet over the hollows created by the magnets being too low.
Depending on the printer model, there may be a mount and dock already designed for it.

Do you have an original BlTouch? Did it ever brake?
I have used bltouch for several years in an open frame printer (no heated chamber) and never had a problem. Used is for Z homing as well as mesh compensation. it's advantage is that it measures the actual top surface (e.g. PEI) rather than extrapolating from some metallic layer below it.

It's a clever idea, which can replace the z switch and inductive probe and actually measure the top surface. It's on my TODO list. I presume that the switch is NC so if the switch was not found, the process with abort before crashing into the bed.

IR probe is my choice, works OK for me. Learning it's behaviour for different printsurfaces so one can compensate is needed.

The Voron peeps did not lke the idea of an outside sourced PCB or magnets that were not in their BOM.
Euclid is much simpleter to construct and install. There are no reliability issues with docking/undocking. we are almost 200k test cycles- the only misfires are when I forget the change offsets between switches.
So far the list of deployments is growing- Ender3, Ender5, RailCore, V-Core3/RatRig, Voron 2.4, Tiny-M.

The Euclid looks more 'professional' than the Voron Clicky probe. Are there 3D models to install it on a V2.4 with standard direct drive Clockwork extruder?

Thanks @sinned6915. I think I found it, in the Docs by Printer folded section here https://www.euclidprobe.com/02-probe-docks-toolboard-mounts/ . I may give it a try. People are seems to be happy in general with this approach.
