Magnetic building plate on glass?

Hi!
I´m thinking of a magnetic build plate like

Now I have a glass one connected by clips, but is it possible to stick the magnetic build plate straight to the bearing aluminum plate? That would save weight at least. ( I have a moving build plate)Pertti

@pertti yes, my magnetic plates are stuck directly to the aluminium platform

I no longer use glass.
I use cast tool plate (aluminum) for the bed and the magnetic system (whatever brand or type) is carefully stuck to the aluminum to insure no trapped air bubbles.
Works fine for me.

@fcwilt Thank You for answers. I´ll try it. Looks like no return, especially when it is hard to remove afterwards.

Based on my experience that part the sticks to the aluminum is impossible to remove without damaging the part.
The aluminum comes out fine.
