Duet 3 6HC + Rpi 4 8gb - Can octoprint//multiple sensors?
-
Hello I have a Duet 3 6HC and I am in the final stages of my build. I happen to have an unused 8gb Rpi 4 laying around and was wondering if while being paired to my Duet 3, can my raspberry Pi also be connected to my gas particulate sensor, temperature sensors and alll the whatnots and extras controlling my sealed enclosure?
Do the 40pin splitters I found searching around work at all? Can I run Pi hats and not affect the Duet 3 performance?
I don't have much experience with the pi although capable, and my primary goal is to ensure my Duet 3 is unaffected and my prints are fine.
I could have another Pi or arduino connected to my BME680 and PMS7003 etc....but was wonder to what extent can I push A Rpi 4 8gb ... it would be nice to have multiple sensors and octoprint possibly.
Is this feasible?
I apologize if there is a thread somewhere - I did a few searches and couldn't get the answer I was looking for.
Thanks for anyone who takes the time to comment and contribute.
Setup:
Duet 3 6HC
RPi 4 8gb or 4gb or 2gb
Duet 3 Toolhead 1LC w/ accelerometer
Sammy-C 21 and LIS3DH for hotbed (bed flinger, ********
****Another question while I am here does anyone have easy graphic on how to connect the sammy c and configure a second accelerometer? ************)
Meanwell-SE-450-24
Meanwell RD-65A
Some sort of thermistor for my enclosure (Will take suggestions) and have my exhaust port center middle towards ceiling of enclosure, negative pressure air enters through 2" PVC, and comes straight across the floor of the enclosure and has multiple holes across the enclosureLMk if need more info thank you again

It depends. The Duet doesn't use every IO pin, so you might be able to wire in additional items without impacting the Duet. The Pi itself would likely be able to handle running other applications at the same time as long as they aren't heavy.
You can see the 26 pin header here and wire it directly. Do any of your other items require the same pins?

For your sammy question, maybe check out this rather long thread. https://forum.duet3d.com/topic/22652/coming-soon-accelerometer-support I think someone connects it via a sammy in there..

@phaedrux Thanks for taking the time to respond boss, I will let you know I am nearly at this part of the build.
