Shorted out8 on a Duet 3 - options for repair?
-
Hello all! I have recently started using a Duet 3 for a 3D printer build. While trying to get the fans working with PWM I shorted out8 checking voltage with a multi-meter. It now runs the fan full on. Not a terrible issue but now I am short one fan connector should I ever need it. Are there any authorized places to get the board repaired.
I may just leave it alone but I would like to know my options for repair. Thanks in advance!

Which country are you in?

Sorry for the delay. I am in the U.S.

Just giving this a bump. I did some port testing and out8 is for sure failed open.

Oh, interactive bom released for the 6HC v1.1 schematic!
You could seek out any hacker space, or mobile/computer repair shop and ask if they could replace the mosfet, Q26 is a dual mosfet, part no DMT6018LDR. Could be worth mentioning its a 4 layer 2oz board when asking.
Schematics etc available https://github.com/Duet3D/Duet3-Mainboard-6HC

We have a repairer for our returned boards in the US getting up and running, but I don't yet know whether he is prepared to do repairs for individual users.
-
Taylor ( @THP ) is getting setup to conduct Duet repairs in the US. He should respond to DM.

@agmeadows I am able to do the repairs and located in VA, PM me your contact details and I can discuss the repair process. I am currently still getting set up but should be ready shortly.
