What is the max current output on the 5v and and 3v expansion pins on the Duet Maestro?
I was checking here but cannot find the details:

the 3.3V pin is the output of the internal 3.3V LDO regulator. thich is rated to 1A, but that 3.3V is used by all the logic on board. you should be safe drawing up to 500mA from this pin, potentially more depending on how warm U2 is getting.
The 5V pins are the output of the 5V internal regulator, or USB, or external 5V input. If you are providing 5V from the internal regulator then the A4403 (U3) can produce up to 3A however that 5V is then used by the 3.3V LDO and other 5V loads. (like 12864 screen, Panel Due, etc). Also if you put max load on U3 then it will get warm so depends on your cooling. I would not put a total of more that 2A of external 5V load on the regulator in total.

I think Tony's estimate of 3A max for the 5V regulator is over-optimistic. I suggest you limit the current you draw from +5V to 1A maximum.
