Problems with 2x The Sparklab FTS 2.0 on Duet2 Ethernet....
-
Hello ,
i am upgrading to 2x Sparklab FTS V2.0 Filament Tracking System, because no Shop in Germany can sell me the Duet magnetic filament system.
https://sparklab-shop.de/detail/index/sArticle/60/sCategory/10The FTS 2.0 has two rolls with an diameter of 8,05mm to move the filament, also i started with 8,05 x 3,14 = 25,277mm at the L-Parameter to calibrate.
the FTS gives an impulse, also i config them with the P-paramter=7So i mounted the fts 10cm bevor the Bowden extruder and put the simple M591 command in config.g
the calibration at 15mm/s says 25.926mm :
M591 D0 P7 C3 S1 R60:140 L25.926 E100.0 A0Thats allready ok for zhe first Layer with speed 15 mm/s.
but at other layer speed zb. 60mm/s the print paused with movement to little or movement to max ?????The calibration worked only for the exat speed setting ???
What is wrong in my setup ?
Please Help..Thanks2020-04-06config.g [link text]([link url]([link url](link url)))Duet web Control 2.07

@wummelfrosch You have set your E parameter (minimum extrusion length before a commanded/measured comparison is done) very high at 100mm, so it's likely doing only a couple of measurements on the first layer, then there's a sudden jump as the printer speeds up. Try setting the E much lower, perhaps between 10 and 20mm, and also increase your range R parameter to perhaps 10:200 until the readings settle down and you get some data.

hy,
thanks.
iget with e100 some Data (25,926) and this ar near the correct theoretical data (8,05 x 3,14 = 25,277mm )it also works for the first layer with a spedd 15 mm/s
the problem is, at the second layer an all other layers the speed is faster than 15mm/s and the printer goes every E-Parameter in into pause mode.
I test it with L25.926 E15.0 again and report it

@wummelfrosch It could be interference as the motors are going faster, at a higher frequency; these sensors are quite susceptible to it. Make sure the wires run away from stepper motor wires, and/or are shielded.
The advice I gave earlier is more on experience with the Duet3D magnetic sensor; I haven't tried with the one you have, so may not be the same.

Ok thanks
At the moment i print a small temp tower with slow speed (max 40mm/s
automatic settings)) and already are ok for the momentI use this settings:
M591 D1 P7 C4 S1 R60:140 L25.926 E15.0 A0and the console gives me this feedback :
7.4.2020, 18:31:37 M591 D1
Pulse-type filament monitor on endstop input 4, enabled, sensitivity 25.926mm/pulse, allowed movement 60% to 140%, check every 15.0mm, measured sensitivity 25.246mm/pulse, measured minimum 101%, maximum 104% over 757.4mmlater i will trie it with another print and more speed
