Ender 5 Plus
-
hallo,
yesterday i got my duet 2 ethernat that is for an ender 5 plus.
has someone this combination and can Show me the firmwaresettings ? -
@joeko See @Phaedrux excellent guides to the Ender 3: https://duet3d.dozuki.com/c/Printer_Specific_Guides#Section_How-to
The Ender 5 Plus is a Cartesian printer like the Ender 3, though the nozzle moves in XY (rather than XZ) and the bed moves up and down (rather than forward and back). However, these guides should give you a good basis for setting up your machine.Here are some threads on Ender 5/5 plus from the forum: https://forum.duet3d.com/search?term=ender 5&in=titles

my configuration for ender5 (it's slightly modified from stock but should give you a good starting position for ender5 plus):

perfect, i will read now.
first i have to cut the case for usb etc.
i used Marlin on the ender and on the duet i am confused about the power supply. on Marlin i set the voltage in the Firmware but in the first start guide i didnt see the Settings for voltage. is it not needed on duet ? -
@joeko said in Ender 5 Plus:

Correct. I'm not really sure why the firmware would need to know. What purpose does it serve in marlin?

@Phaedrux
i dont know but you have to set it. -
@joeko Interesting. Well in RRF and the Duet you do not. You just supply either 12v or 24v to VIN. The fan ports have some jumper options to allow you to control what voltage the fans will get, but other than that you do not need to do anything with the firmware.
