Problem With Hot End Fan
-
I have Problems with my Hotend Fans, both the Part Cooling and the Coldend Fan are spinning much to slowly. I think that es because i have the fan Jumper on 5V and not VIN, BUT when i change the jumper to VIN (12V) the fans dont spin at all.
Do i have to change something in the Firmware or what is the Problem?

To ask the obvious; they are 'normal' 12V fans yes? Individually wired to their header on the board?
When set to 5V do they turn on and off as expected? (eg Coldend only when the heatblock heats up, part coolers only when commanded via UI/gcode)? -
Yes they are both 12V fans, i wired the cold and fan directly to the VIN because otherwise i was not able to print PLA. The Partcooling fan turn in via Commen, but turns way to slowly.

The 12v fan will probably turn, very slow, at 5v.
I'm more worried that you say they do not run at all if you set the fan jumper to Vin. This means that either 1) there is a fault on your board (you can use a multi-meter to carefully check the jumper voltage is 12v when set to Vin) or 2) some other wiring problem, but I am not sure what could cause that behaviour. It's probably time to ask which Duet board and Firmware combo are you using? Have you read the Wiki page on fan config.
And can you please share your config file (the bit with the M106 fan config commands) -
@MauriceM I was in the middle of writing a reply, but basically, please provide everything @EasyTarget has asked for; Duet type, firmware version (send M115 and post reply), config.g. And a picture of your Duet and wiring.

Ok i just messured the Voltage and it is 0.
So i think the Board has a fault.

People are always so quick to assume that! Where/how did you check? Please also provide the rest of the information asked for.

If its only 12v that fails for the fan I would think that the fan fuse F2 is a prime suspect?
-
@bearer @MauriceM Oooh, yes, check the fan fuse. It's the 1A one nearest the main power in terminals.

It was the fuse , i didnt know that the duet has a fuse only for the fans. I buy one and than i will see if it was that

@MauriceM See https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Connector_and_spare_part_numbers#Section_Blade_fuses
2A and 3A blade fuses are easier to find at car parts shops, and can be used temporarily. Replace with 1A fuse when you can get them.Ian
