@gabi68 Would have been good to mention you were using a Smart Effector! Have you actually measured the resistance of the PT100? You need to check at each connector. I don't see how this is a config/Duet issue, as you get 0ºC with the resistor.

I just checkit. The resistance is under 1 ohm and the continuty is there for all cables. According to the PT100 resistance table I should see values between 107 and 111 ohm.
I agree is not a duet issue, but this (PT100) is sold like an addon for duet. Any advice, please?Gabi

@gabi68 Contact the seller and ask for a warranty replacement, as the PT100 seems to be faulty. I'd connect the 100ohm resistor to the pins on the SmartEffector, which should check continuity and for any extra resistance/short in the wiring.

Do you know it will be better to order a thermocouple board with associate thermocuple?Gabi

it it is 1 ohm there is a short somewhere inside, so its fried.

If the resistance really is 1 ohm, it's probably a thermocouple, not a PT100.

What colour are the wires coming out of it? I believe E3D uses different coloured wires for thermistor, PT100 and thermocouple cartridges.

Looks like E3D PT100 is red https://e3d-online.com/pt100-temperature-sensor
Thermocouples usually have a braided cover https://e3d-online.com/type-k-thermocouple-cartridge
Thermistors are blue https://e3d-online.com/thermistor-cartridgeSo probably still just a failed PT100.
