Suppress error messages
-
Hello!
Since i destroyed one of the stepdrivers on my duet, i get error messages like
"Error: short-to-ground reported by driver(s) 4"
"Error: over temperature shutdown reported by driver(s) 4"I was able to suppress the pop-ups on the browser, bot not on paneldue. If I cannot get rid of them, paneldue is useless to me....
Greetings from Germany,

Maybe desoldering the driver chip would work if you have the tools for it?
If it's shorting out it will heat up to an excessive degree which could potentially damage other parts of the board. Try putting a thermal camera (or a finger very briefly) on the chip to see what I mean.
Probably not best to run it like that long-term.

@mmueller70 try setting the current for that driver to 100mA

@mmueller70, you can use the R-1 option of the M569 command to suppress monitoring of a particular driver. But if the driver chip is getting very hot, it may eventually catch fire.

Hi!
No, the driver does not get hot, it stays colder than the others in use. I think its internal heat measurement is damaged. Immediately after switching on, the overtemperature is reported. The M569 command solves my problem. Maybe I'll upgrade to Duet3 someday ...
Thanks for your help!
