Printed model is not perpendicular to the bed on Delta printer
-
Hello,
I just tried to print the blower rotor (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:667480) but when I mounted the rotor to the motor shaft, I noticed that the rotor is slightly not perpendicular to the shaft, so the blower assembly is not balanced and shakes during the operation.
I have 8-factors calibration on my Duet Wifi and Delta printer, so, as I understood, it should provide an orthogonal print, so what could be a problem in my case?

are you using mesh bed leveling?
-
@veti nope, as I understood from the docs, on delta there is no need for extra mesh bed leveling.

What do your M666 settings give for the tilt? It might be that there is a small geometric error in your printer that is not one of the factors that RRF can calibrate for, and it is adjusting tllt to minimise the resulting error. If that's the case, using 6-factor calibration instead of 8-factor may give better results.

@dc42 hello, I have tried both 6 and 8 factors but both give some tilt as a result. In 8 factors, the tilt is a little smaller. My printer indeed may have some problem with tower angles but I thought calibration may solve those problems, is that so?

Calibration can correct for tower position and for bed tilt, although it it not easy for the firmware to tell the difference between them. It can't correct for towers not being parallel to each other.

@dc42 hello, would you recommend the solution in this case? I can reprint the tower basements and make them more precise.

@dc42 is there a way to manually adjust the tower tilt angles? I just realized that if I will print the new brackets they will be tilted as well

You can specify the bed tilt in the X and Y directions manually in the M666 command.
