Heatbed with 411Watt on Duet Wifi
-
Hello Folks,
my Heatbet takes 24 Volt and an resistance (measured) like 17,14 Ohm, this is like 411Watt - 17,14 Amperes. The Fuse on Duet WiFi is like 15 Amperes (Blue). Can I connect direktly to the Duet or did I need an mosfet between the Bed ant the Duet? At this time I connect the Heatbed with an Mosfet, because I don't want to damage my Duet - it works very fine ...

@sw Leave it on the Mosfet, don't fix something that's working.

The fuse holder is rated at 15A, that's why we supply a 15A fuse, although I suspect that the fuse holder could take more current when it isn't in a hot environment. If you run your bed heater at 17A for long enough, the 15A fuse may eventually blow. You could accept that, or replace it with a 20A fuse.

Ok, I see it's the better way to lave it on the Mosfat
Thank you very much!
